This weekend my husband had to go to Chicago, for business. I went with him because he was finished with work at 5pm, and we were able to see the sites after that. We stayed a total of two days, and we had a lot of fun. The title of this post is "A whole new world" because I have never been to Chicago, and I have never been to a city were I stayed mixed in with all the skyscrapers! I am a small town farm kind of gal this was quite an experience for me. Here are a few pictures that are my favorites.
This is the entrance to Millennium Park. Not sure what this is, but I think it is a statue that looks like a bike helmet. I thought it was a cool entrance to the park. I also liked the reflection.
I think this city has some of the best architecture.
I have seen this exact shot somewhere, but I cannot remember where. I am sure it was in some show.
Where ever I seen the shot I think it is a breath-taking scene.
More beautiful buildings. The architecture in this city is just absolutely georgeous!
Some beautiful shots at sun-set.
More beautiful shots at sun-set. The colors were just georgeous.
Here are some beautiful pictures of the buildings at night.
One cannot go to Chicago, and not go see Oprah's studio. The interesting thing was, we stayed at the hotel that Oprah puts her guest in. The cab driver made me get out and pose with the sign.
Here are some breath-taking pictures from Lake Michigan.
I am pretty proud I ended up with some nice photographs.
One cannot go to chicago, and not go see the famous Married With Children Fountain!
"Love and Marriage...love and marriage...go together like a horse and carriage...this I tell ya brother...ya can't have one without the other...love and marriage....."
I would have to say...this was a nice trip, and I enjoyed my time. I would love to make a trip back. There were many things I wanted to see and never got around to it.
